WHAT SHE SAID: A Powerful Evening with The Modern Day Wife

This past week I had the privilege of attending WHAT SHE SAID, a signature event hosted by The Modern Day Wife and it proved to be so much more than an evening gathering; it was a celebration of women’s voices, ambitions, and shared journeys.

The atmosphere was dynamic from the moment guests arrived. The garden space at the W hotel in Westwood buzzed with professionals, entrepreneurs, and creatives who all came together for one purpose: to engage in meaningful conversations about womanhood, leadership, and defining success on our own terms.

A Space for Authentic Dialogue

The evening featured a dynamic lineup of speakers who shared their stories with refreshing candor. One of my favorites was Hannah Wright, winner of the hit reality series Love Island. She spoke about navigating life in the public eye while staying grounded in her personal values...(aka the current challenge that is 2025..*deep sigh* ) Mary Bonnet, known for her role on Selling Sunset, was another favorite. She offered insight into the world of luxury real estate and how authenticity and resilience continue to drive her success in such a competitive industry.

The event also featured a captivating fireside chat with Rhonda Swan, a high-performance coach, television host, and best-selling author who shared her expertise on building confidence, leadership, and intentional living. Each speaker brought a unique perspective, but together, they created a powerful narrative about what defines modern womanhood and success in today’s fast-paced world.

The Pizazz!

As much as WHAT SHE SAID was about dialogue, it was also about presence. Attendees brought their individuality to the forefront, creating an atmosphere that was both stylish and definitely inspo worthy. I opted for a sleek..ish look, Raquel Allegra pleated trousers in rose, thrifted silk blouse with shoulder pads (was such a conversation starter!) and nude pumps from Zara. No regrets.

The Power of Connection

Between panels, there was space to connect. The video I captured from the evening reflects this energy—the conversations, the laughter, and the genuine connections being formed. More than a networking opportunity, WHAT SHE SAID fostered a sense of community among women eager to champion one another…and let’s be real, we need a whollleeelataa that at the moment.

All in All..

I left the event reminded of the power of storytelling and the necessity of spaces like this one. WHAT SHE SAID underscored that success is not linear and that the support of a strong community can make all the difference. The Modern Day Wife has created a platform where women’s voices are not only heard but celebrated.
